Most Delicious Light and Crispy Homemade Buttermilk Waffles Recipe


 BUTTERMILK WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS
11/2 cup refined flour
11/2 teaspoon baking powder
11/2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
6 tablespoons butter melted at room temperature
11/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
 Waffle iron
 Vegetable oil/butter for greasing the waffle iron
FOR TOPPING
11/2 tablespoon  unsalted butter
1 banana cut diagonally into 1/3 inch slices
1 cup maple syrup

METHOD
FOR THE WAFFLES
 Put oven rack in middle position and put a large metal cooling rack directly on it. Preheat oven to 250°F and preheat waffle iron.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt .Sift and set aside.
In another bowl whisk butter , buttermilk and eggs together until well blended. now add the flour mixture to it and whisk until well combined.
Grease the waffle iron with a little butter. Pour 1/2 cup batter into each waffle mold. follow the manufacturer's instructions and cook the waffles for about 3 minutes until golden brown and thoroughly cooked .
Transfer the cooked waffles to the rack in the oven keeping warm. keeping waffles in 1 layers so that they stay crisp.make more waffles same way.
METHOD FOR THE TOPPING
In a pan heat butter till melted now add banana slices in 1 layer and cook one side until golden for about 1 minute.remove from heat.
