Ingredients for making the crust less buttermilk pie
1/2 stick butter room temperature softened
3 Tablespoons of flour
2 eggs, large well beaten
1 cup buttermilk
11/2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
1 cup castor sugar
Step by Step Method for making the pie
Preheat the oven to 425°
In a large bowl mix together the melted butter and flour. Beat with an electric beater until the two ingredients are well combined.
Now stir in the sugar, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat well again with a beater until all the ingredients are well combined.
Pour this batter into a buttered glass pie plate.
Bake in the oven at 425° for about 10 minutes then reduce the temperature to 350° and bake for l 30-35 minutes, until te centre of the pie is set.
