The Best Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe Ever



What is the best way to make Buttermilk Pancakes from scratch?

Buttermilk pancakes are light and tender and can be easily cooked at home.

Ingredients makes-14 pancakes
1 cup all purpose flour
YUMMY DELICIOUS BUTTERMILK PANCAKES
½ teaspoon salt                               
1 teaspoon baking soda                
1 large egg
1 cup  buttermilk
2 tablespoon melted butter
Vegetable oil 2-3 tablespoons


METHOD
Preheat the griddle or frying pan.
In a bowl put all purpose flour and sift.Now add salt and baking soda and sift again.Mix well and keep aside.
In another bowl beat egg with beater .Blend in the buttermilk.Add the dry ingredients(flour mixture).Beat well until smooth.Add the melted butter and mix well.
In case you want thinner pancakes then add ¼ cup of buttermilk pour.Adjust the consistency of the batter by adding more flour or buttermilk.
Using a spoon pour spoonfuls of pancakes batter on the oiled griddle or frying pan and spread the batter with the back of the spoon to make thin crepe like pancakes.Cook until the batter is bubbly turn over and serve immediately with syrup or fruit sauce

Most Delicious Light and Crispy Homemade Buttermilk Waffles Recipe


 BUTTERMILK WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS
11/2 cup refined flour
11/2 teaspoon baking powder
11/2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
6 tablespoons butter melted at room temperature
11/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
 Waffle iron
 Vegetable oil/butter for greasing the waffle iron
FOR TOPPING
11/2 tablespoon  unsalted butter
1 banana cut diagonally into 1/3 inch slices
1 cup maple syrup

METHOD
FOR THE WAFFLES
 Put oven rack in middle position and put a large metal cooling rack directly on it. Preheat oven to 250°F and preheat waffle iron.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt .Sift and set aside.
In another bowl whisk butter , buttermilk and eggs together until well blended. now add the flour mixture to it and whisk until well combined.
Grease the waffle iron with a little butter. Pour 1/2 cup batter into each waffle mold. follow the manufacturer's instructions and cook the waffles for about 3 minutes until golden brown and thoroughly cooked .
Transfer the cooked waffles to the rack in the oven keeping warm. keeping waffles in 1 layers so that they stay crisp.make more waffles same way.
METHOD FOR THE TOPPING
In a pan heat butter till melted now add banana slices in 1 layer and cook one side until golden for about 1 minute.remove from heat.

Basic Buttermilk Cake Recipe



BUTTERMILK CAKE
This recipe is very simple and easy to follow.

How do you make a ButterCake from Scratch? 

Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
a pinch of salt

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 egg large if small then 2 eggs
1 teasppon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup plain buttermilk



Method

Grease the cake tin with melted butter.preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenit.
In a bowl mix flour ,baking powder,baking soda and salt together and sift.keep aside(1).
In another bowl beat the butter and sugar together with a high speed beater until the mixture is light and fluffy.now add egg to it and beat and vanilla extract and almond extract and beat again for 30 seconds.keep aside.
now using a spoon fold in the dry mxture(1) in the butter egg mixture followed by adding buttermilk to it.mix gently with the spoon  till the dry ingredients have blended well .
pour this batter in the greased tin and bake for 20-30 miutes or till a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean.
your buttermilk cake is ready.

HOW TO MAKE BUTERMILK FROM REGULAR MILK

It is very easy to make buttermilk from regular milk at home.Buttermilk is one of the most  healthiest drinks in the world. if we plan to make buttermilk from scratch then we need some yoghurt .although yoghurt is easily available in the market and can be used for buttermilk preparation.
yoghurt can also be easily made at home.

How to make Yoghurt at Home
Depending on the quantity of yoghurt we need we will boil the milk( for 200 ml yoghurt we require 200ml boiled milk).After the milk has been boiled.cool it .when the milk is mildly warm then add yoghurt to it.Add around 1-2 teaspoon of  yoghurt to the lukewarm milk and stir into the milk and  let it set at room temperature for about 8-10 hours or overnight (do not keep it in the fridge during the process of setting)

How to make Buttermilk

We can make plain ,sweet or spicy buttermilk depending on our taste.
 BUTTERMILK
first we will learn how  buttermilk is made at home
FOR MAKING 1 GLASS OF BUTTERMILK
put some yoghurt around 2-3 tablespoon in a vessel.
now add some water (3/4 -1 glass of water )to it depending on the consistency desired(thick or watery)
now in a blender blend this water yoghurt mixture till completely blended.
for blending in India we use a wooden stick which is used for making buttermilk at home.this wooden stick has a long handle and circular spikes at the hand.

SWEET BUTTERMILK
make  buttermilk following the steps mentioned above.
add 2 -3 teaspoons of sugar to buttermilk and mix well.your sweet buttermilk is ready.
You can even add rose syrup or fruit syrups to buttermilk to give it new flavors and taste.

SALTY BUTTERMILK
prepare plain buttermilk .add salt to it.add crushed cumin seeds/cumins powder about 1/2 -1 teaspoon,a pinch of black salt mix well in a blender and serve.chilled.
